Artist's Statement:
I am a Mexican-born and Chicago raised artist. My work frequently highlights immigration issues, unseen labor and social disenfranchisement. The concepts I create as DACA-mented artist depict the nuances of existing in both the United States and the art world with a politicized identity. I do this through various forms such as drawing, artists books, printmaking, performative sculpture and installations, and most recently photography and personal archive. I use my career, as a gallery worker, and qualities from minimal and conceptual art to communicate and question the parallels of the bureaucratic processes and spaces I exist in.
